Three Contractors. Three Numbers. Nobody Explained Why.

If you've priced dirtwork before, you know the feeling. One guy quotes from his truck window. Another wants to "see how it goes." The third gives you a number with nothing behind it — and you're left wondering which one turns into a bigger bill after the trees are already down.

Here's the thing: you don't need to already know what your job should cost. You need one contractor willing to show you the math before the machines start — and to put it in writing.

That's the whole way Triple M works. Walk-through, itemized written proposal, locked price, and written change orders if the ground surprises us. Nothing hits your bill without your written sign-off.

How the Written-Price Process Works

The full process
  1. The Walk

Mason walks your property with you — in person, usually an evening or a weekend. You point at what you want done; he looks at what the ground will let happen.

  2. The Proposal

You get an itemized written proposal. Every line has a price, and Mason explains out loud why each one costs what it costs.

  3. The Lock

You approve the proposal, and that price is locked. It doesn't drift, and nothing gets added quietly.

  4. The Ground

Machines move only after you know the math. If something turns up underground, work stops and you approve a written change order first.

The Dirt Around Here Lies to You

Near the lake, shale can sit a foot under the topsoil. Out in the fields toward Kearney, old terrace tile still runs where nobody remembers laying it. And our clay holds water weeks after the surface looks dry.

None of it shows up in a satellite photo — which is exactly why I don't quote from one. I walk your ground before I write your price, and if the dirt still manages to surprise us, the change-order rule protects your bill.
